La edición numero 11 de los British Independent Film Awards ya anunció las cintas nominado a los premio preciados premios al cine británico. Los BIFA 2008 como se los conoce acotadamente se celebrarán el sábado 30 de noviembre en el Old Billingsgate Market de London y será presentado por el actor James Nesbitt.

Elliot Grove, fundador de los BIFA comenta que "las nominaciones revelan un gran numero de nuevos y jóvenes talentos que hacen que esta onceava edición sea refrescante"

Las cintas con más nominaciones son Escondidos en Brujas y Hunger con siete, seguido por Slumdog Millionaire de Danny Boyle con seis y Shifty con cinco.
